Scheduling

Build the shooting schedule from a brief.

SetSnitch is film production scheduling software. Give the Snitch, its AI copilot, your start date, how many days a week you shoot and how long the days are, press Generate, and you get a stripboard with the cast's day out of days.

Then ask the Snitch for changes in plain words. Nothing moves until you say so.

The stripboard in the Nest: day 24 on the floor at Green Valley Ranch, day 25 ahead, two scenes parked on the sidetable

The problem

A schedule is a puzzle that keeps changing.

Locations, cast, crew, gear, money and time all pull on the same days, and every change to one of them means checking the rest by hand. Most of an AD's scheduling time goes into that checking, not into the decisions only they can make.

How SetSnitch builds it

With the whole production in view, the Snitch builds plans side by side, picks the one it would choose and says why. It picks one. You decide.

Start from a brief. Your first day, days a week and hours a day, whether nights come in blocks or mixed in, who is away, and which cast are children.

See it your way. The shoot as a list, a stripboard or a calendar, with the day out of days beside it.

Move it without breaking it. Drag scenes between days or park them on the sidetable, and the call sheets follow their days.

Everything connected

The whole production, in one place, from prep to wrap.

The script becomes the breakdown, the breakdown becomes the schedule, the schedule becomes the call sheets, and the call sheets become the shoot day, live on iPhone and iPad. Each step knows what the one before it knows.

FAQ

Fair questions.

Is SetSnitch a stripboard?

Yes. The schedule shows as a stripboard, a list or a calendar, and you drag scenes between days the way you would on a board.

Does the AI change my schedule on its own?

No. The Snitch suggests plans and changes, and nothing moves until you say so. The AD stays in charge of the schedule.

Can I bring a schedule I already have?

Yes. A Movie Magic Scheduling file (.msd) opens as it is, and schedules as .xlsx, .csv or PDF come in through the Snitch.

Does it make a day out of days?

Yes. The cast's day out of days is built from the schedule and shows what changed since the last one was published.

Bring your production. Not a new way of working.

SetSnitch opens to everyone on November 18th. The waitlist is open now.
