Script breakdown

A feature script, broken down in a couple of minutes.

SetSnitch breaks down a script with AI. The Snitch reads the script, finds the story days, names every scene and lists what each one needs: cast, extras, props, wardrobe, vehicles and even stunts.

A feature takes it a couple of minutes. You check the breakdown and make it your own, and what you write always stands.

The problem

A breakdown takes days by hand.

Every production starts by reading the script line by line and marking what each scene needs. It is careful, necessary work, and it takes an AD days before the scheduling can even begin.

How the Snitch breaks it down

The Snitch reads the script scene by scene and says what it finds as it goes: the story days, the sets and every element, on the script's own pages.

Drop it in. A PDF or a Final Draft .fdx, in any language.

The chrono comes out. The story in order, by story day and strand, ready for you to shape.

Every element, marked. Cast, extras, stunts, animals, props, wardrobe and effects, in the trade's colours.

Everything connected

The whole production, in one place, from prep to wrap.

The script becomes the breakdown, the breakdown becomes the schedule, the schedule becomes the call sheets, and the call sheets become the shoot day, live on iPhone and iPad. Each step knows what the one before it knows.

FAQ

Fair questions.

How long does an AI script breakdown take?

The Snitch breaks down a feature film script in a couple of minutes. You then check it and change anything you like.

Which script files can I use?

Scripts come in as PDFs or Final Draft .fdx files. A tagged .fdx keeps its own tags and is read as it is.

Does it work in other languages?

Yes. The Snitch reads scripts in any language.

Can I change what the AI found?

Yes. The breakdown is a first pass for you to check and make your own, and what you write always stands.

Bring your production. Not a new way of working.
